The main objective has been to create a knowledge landshapes for life cycle assessment for electronic equipment and materials used for electronics. These landscape of knowledge should be useful in business intranets or for eLearning tools.

Following the European legislation to ban hazardous materials, a transition process is required to overcome this condition. EFSOT project, which deals with the elimination of lead-alloy in solder materials, is a Euro-pean project with partners from five European countries. To cope with the geographical differences, a reliable knowledge exchange is needed among the project partners.

EFSOT project offers a web-based InfoBase for its partner to collaborate and interchange information and experiences.
