European Lead-Free Soldering Network - Formation of Technical Expert Groups (TEG) in Solders, Components, Assembly, Reliability and Recycling
and of Industry Networks (IN) in Consumer, IT/Telecoms, Automotive/Industrial and Aerospace/Defence
You are invited to attend the first meeting of ELFNET (European Lead-Free Soldering Network) on June 24th in the RAI Conference Cenrte, Amsterdam. This meeting is free of charge and open to anyone in Europe.
This is a new EU-funded project, coordinated by Soldertec, UK, aiming to bring together the critical mass in Europe's lead-free soldering research community with key industry players to optimise research and accelerate implementation. The consortium already includes all of the major research project leaders, representatives from 19 countries and industry leaders from each major sector.

This meeting will initiate the formation of Technical Expert Groups in Solders, Components, Assembly, Reliability and Recycling and Industry Networks in Consumer, IT/Telecoms, Automotive/Industrial and Aerospace/Defence. The objective will be to identify the key implementation issues still to be addressed ahead of the July 2006 deadline. The project will seek to resolve these issues through closer dialogue and generation of new research project proposals.

More information about the ELFNET project is attached. To register for the meeting please complete and return the attached Registration Form.

The event is associated with the IPC\Soldertec Lead-Free Soldering Conference. For more details of the main conference please visit: http://www.ipc.org/calendar/LF0604/index.htm
